What We Believe: Wesleyan Arminian Theology The Trinity God Exists in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (John 1:1, 14) The Bible is God’s Word It is the infallible, authoritative revelation from God Himself that should be the standard and goal for every life. (2 Timothy 3:16) Man is Sinful and Needs a Savior Sin stands between us and God and robs us of heaven and a positive eternal life. (Romans 3:23 / 6:23) Jesus Christ is That Savior Man’s sin is forgiven only by faith and belief in Jesus Christ, Who died for man. Faith is apart from good works, baptism, church membership, or man’s effort and is of pure grace. (John 3:16) The Church is the Family of God The church is made up of peopole who love and believe in Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13) Personal Holiness The goal of every believer is to grow in spiritual maturity through obedience to God’s Word and to the Holy Spirit. (Romans 12:1-2) A Call to Outreach The world is in desperate need of the good news of Jesus Christ and every member of His family has been called to reach those across the street and across the world. (Matthew 28:18-20) Jesus Christ Is Coming Back We believe that the world will not last forever and that Jesus is coming back to this world to take His family home to be with Him. (1 Thess. 4:16-18)

Meet our Christian Education Class name: Maranatha ("Our Lord Comes!") 1) Age group: Adults of all ages. – We are a family group. We sometimes see family members saved in the class. We function as a small church within the church. We enjoy fellowship and fun together, such as our Christmas Party. 2) Methods of teaching We work together, with the help of the Holy Spirit and our: a) Class President – Bob Barker b) Secretary-Treas.- Charlotte Barker (Assisted by Bob) c) Sender of cards to: absentees, the sick & the bereaved – Joanna Jones d) Missionary Emphasis, Prayer & Projects – Mary Estle e) Gospel Music & singing – Randy Bock on guitar, (beginning of class) – Short Devotional in Music 3) Teachers Shirley Weeter – Teacher Bob Barker – Assistant Teacher Dottie Conley – Assistant Teacher Cyndi Morris – Substitute Teacher 4) We teach the books of the Bible – Truth & Doctrine – using the Wesley Bible Curriculum - Each student receives a Sunday School book to use as a tool to understanding the lesson. Questions and comments are appreciated. We enjoy discussion pertaining to the lesson. The Sunday School books are provided by the Sunday School Department. 5) April's Current Study Topic – Paul’s Letters to the Thessalonians – I & II Thessalonians WE WELCOME VISITORS!
